The island has a world famous surfing spot called "HADIGILLA". Some recall this wave as the longest ride in the Maldives. It has been recorded, as a 3 minute ride during season swells. During the season and when the south-east swells hit the reef. guests can get around 10 sections. including barrelling sections. Besides surfing the island is renowned as a fisherman's island and has a huge lagoon for water sports.
